Stability starts with a safe home and a committed community.

About Exodus

Exodus was built on this conviction: God works through people, community, and persistent love that doesn’t quit.

Our Mission

Exodus Ministries transforms the lives of formerly incarcerated single mothers and their children by providing a safe place to live, tools needed for success, and Christ-centered spiritual support.

There’s a moment we see often at Exodus.

A mom walks in carrying shame, exhaustion, and fear about the future. She’s used to instability. Used to systems. Used to people giving up.

And then something different happens.

She’s welcomed into a safe, furnished home. She’s surrounded by mentors who know her name. She hears biblical truth spoken with compassion. She begins to experience community that is steady, patient, and real. And slowly — courage replaces shame. Stability replaces chaos. Hope takes root.

For over 40 years, we’ve seen what relational healing can do. When you engage with Exodus, you aren’t simply supporting services — you’re helping create the kind of environment where lasting transformation becomes possible.

Our Values

We provide a secure and stable environment where mothers and children can reunite, heal, and grow.

Safety

We believe transformation is always relational. Healing happens in community, and we cultivate relationships that make lasting change possible.

Connection

We act with honesty and consistency in all we do, earning the trust of our residents, partners, and community.

Integrity

We call moms, staff, and ourselves to consistent growth, responsibility, and follow-through—because accountability is the foundation of real transformation.

Accountability

Care

We walk with each mom and child in love, offering patient guidance, encouragement, and support through every step of the journey.

We pursue excellence in every detail of our program, from the apartments we prepare to the counseling, classes, and mentorship we provide.

Excellence

Our Story

Exodus was built on a simple conviction: transformation happens in community.

We walk alongside formerly incarcerated single mothers as they reunite with their children and begin again. And we’ve seen something powerful — lasting transformation doesn’t grow from services alone. It grows through consistent relationships, accountability, and hope lived out together.

The barriers women face after incarceration are real. Safe housing is difficult to secure. Employment can feel out of reach. Trauma and broken relationships don’t disappear overnight. Without sustained support, the cycle often repeats.

We knew there had to be something deeper than temporary help.

So we built a home — a structured, Christ-centered residential community in downtown Dallas where mothers and children heal together.

A place where grace and accountability coexist. Where mentors, counselors, volunteers, and staff show up consistently — not just to offer resources, but to offer relationships.

If you’re a mom wondering whether change is possible, we want you to know: it is. We’ve seen women regain custody of their children, secure employment, remain sober, and build stable, independent lives.

If you’re a donor, partner, or volunteer, you’re not just supporting a program. You’re helping break cycles of incarceration, addiction, and poverty through long-term, faithful presence.

We aren’t driven by rapid expansion, but by depth — because when a mother rebuilds her life, a child’s future changes too.
